Line for ESL (Extended Shelf Life) products
Production line for ESL productsStork has developed this line concept for pasteurised products with an extended shelf life (ESL products). Depending on the required shelf life, an ultra-high pasteurisation process can be selected.

 

 

ESL lineThe ESL line comprises the following operations: the product is subjected to a heat treatment (ultra-high pasteurisation process) in a Sterideal tubular heat exchanger and packaged. The latter may optionally be procured from a bottle supplier or manufactured in-plant with Stork Blow-Moulding equipment, which offers the possibility of giving the bottles a unique appearance. Depending upon the components installed on the line, the product can be filled in open, closed or semi-closed bottles. The type of filling machine is selected depending on the required ESL line rotary shelf life: a rotary High Hygienic or Ultra Clean Dairyfill or  linear aseptic filler. Stork’s rotary fillers can be equipped with a rinser for rinsing the bottles before filling. These fillers can also be combined with a capper for applying foil caps and/or screw caps. Labellers and inspection and packaging units can be installed at the end of the line to complete the process.
